![]() The game offers several game modes that players can choose from, including sandbox mode, crash mode, and race mode. So, let’s talk a little more about this game! Gameplay and Features: Whether players prefer building, destruction, racing, or exploring, there is a game mode for everyone. The game offers multiple game modes, each with its own unique features and challenges. One of the most significant aspects of Brick Rigs is its versatility. With its realistic physics engine, players can simulate vehicle crashes and destruction in a way that is both entertaining and satisfying. The game was first released in 2016 and has since gained a loyal following of players who enjoy its unique blend of building, destruction, and exploration. You spend hours building a crazy car only for it to be uncontrollable and smash into the side of a hill!īrick Rigs is a sandbox game developed by Lukas Rustemeyer that allows players to build, destroy, and explore structures made of Lego-like bricks. You can test the physics of your creation and this is very amusing. It does this by letting you actually use the vehicles you have created. My son and I loved messing around with the Lego Digital Designer, but Brick Rigs lets you take things a step further. Not to mention the fact that the game (well on my PC) seemed to have a fair bit of trouble staying smooth when there were a ton of bricks on the screen at the same time. There is an online component to this game, but I found the community to be a bit on the exhausting side. We both have pretty weird imaginations so we were coming up with all kinds of crazy stuff. I had a great deal of fun playing through this with my son. You start off with one thing and then it quickly turns into something else. This ranges from normal cars to tanks to a pretty over the top railway system. I have messed around and made all kinds of crazy stuff. I forgot - all of the wheels wobbling while driving seems to be related to wheels not in contact with the ground, and thus accellerating to incredible speeds (until I assume the physics engine has a fit and they wobble and lose speed again). There really is no limit to the kind of vehicle you can come up with in Brick Rigs. The explosion crash fixes removed basically all crashes so far I feel like the low mass of bricks is contributing to a lot of the weird driving physics (engines flipping vehicles from torque, vehicles getting unstable at high speed, vehicles easily flipping or jumping excessively when hitting bumps or turning while driving, unreliable collision effects) Not a bug but the fences used in the maps have really wonky durability - I can slam a massive vehicle headon into them and much of the time they dont get destroyed, but sometimes a glancing blow will do them out. Player collisions means vehicles may be exited fine, or you may simply explode your vehicle by doing so Unsure if intentional, but fires in multiplayer never seem to burn out the bricks, the fire particles just spawn for a bit and die out without any change to the vehicle Seems to come after exiting a vehicle that has been struck Repairing a vehicle often results in it spawning so the player seat is level with the ground, resulting in vehicles stuck in the groundĬamera/player and movement keys being stuck in odd orientations (eg walking sideways or upside down). Just gonna list things I have been experiencing on the current multiplayer build:ĭesync - this has been getting worse it feels like? Result is vehicles someone may be driving fine will be exploding and flipping out and slamming into things constantly from another players viewpoint. ![]()
